The "CyclePaths: Active Mobility for Social Inclusion and Sustainability" project is a capacity-building initiative designed to address critical challenges related to social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and active mobility in sports. It builds on the success of previous initiatives, such as Social A.C.T. - Active Cycling Team, and aims to take these efforts to the next level by introducing a structured capacity-building component, digital engagement strategies, and a focus on adaptive cycling for marginalized groups. The project is led by Solidarity Tracks/Monopatia Allilegiis, an organization with a strong track record in promoting social inclusion and sustainability through sports. CyclePaths, with its initiatives, trainings online courses and guide, wishes to foster greater inclusivity, sustainability, and accessibility in active mobility and sports.
Main objectives:
The project strengthens the capacity of grassroots sports organisations by training coaches and volunteers to deliver inclusive cycling programmes. It promotes the participation of disadvantaged groups, enhances physical and mental well-being through cycling, fosters cross-sector collaboration, develops digital learning tools for cycling education, and encourages cycling as a sustainable sport and mobility solution.
Innovation:
The project combines inclusive cycling, digital education, and sustainable mobility through AI-driven learning, gamification, and digital coaching. Innovative tools, including an interactive e-learning platform, mobile app, and AI chatbot, provide personalised support and accessible training, while enhancing the skills and employability of sports professionals and volunteers.
